ARRIVALS / DEPARTURES:- From the Airport: The airport is small and about 25–30 minutes from Naoussa. You can arrange a private transfer, rent a car and schedule airport pickup, or take a taxi. Taxis are limited and we cannot guarantee there will always be one available at the airport.
- From the Ferry Port (Parikia): The port is about 20 minutes from Naoussa. Taxis are typically readily available nearby at the taxi queue HERE or several rental car companies are located just off the port.
Many hotels offer pick-up services from the airport or port but if yours does not, see below for private transfer recommendations.
RENTAL CARS:Renting a car is our favorite way to see the island. While not essential, if you’re planning on visiting multiple beaches, villages, or doing day trips, it is worth it.
We’ve had a good experience renting from
AVIS, which has offices near both the ferry port and airport for convenient pickup/drop-off.
There are also plenty of local rental companies, including some
based in Naoussa—perfect if you just want a car for the day. Scooters and ATVs are also available from many local companies for those comfortable with them.
PRIVATE TRANSFERS:
If you do not want to rent a car but are looking for reliable transportation for the airport/port OR more remote excursions, we'd recommend scheduling a private transfer. Our wedding planners provided the below recommendations:
TAXIS:
- From Naoussa, taxis queue HERE (near the bridge)
- From Parikia, taxis queue HERE
- From your hotel, the receptionist should be able to call a taxi for you.
Taxis in Paros use the taxi meter. Be sure your driver switches it on, or agree on the price of your ride before you enter the car.
You should be able to pay by card. By law, they're obligated to have a POS machine. But, they might tell you that isn't possible because they prefer cash.
APPS:
While not as readily available as in the US, Paros does have Uber and a local rideshare app called iMove:
