Welcome to Paros!

Monastiri Beach:
One of the most popular beaches on Paros. Tucked into a scenic cove, it’s well-protected from the wind and known for its calm, shallow waters that stay waist-deep for nearly 100 yards. This is Dean and Lauren's favorite beach!
  • Beach Club: Monastiri Beach Bar (reserve loungers in advance HERE). Prices are a bit higher than other beaches, but worth it for the comfortable sun beds, good food, and stunning setting.
  • Getting There: From Naoussa, hop on the sea taxi (usually departs every 30 minutes from HERE), or drive or call a taxi/Uber.

Kolymbithres Beach:
Famous for its unique rock formations and clear blue water, Kolymbithres is one of the island’s most iconic beaches. The area consists of several coves, some with organized beaches and some unorganized.
  • Beach Club: Paros on the Rocks
  • Getting There: From Naoussa, hop on the sea taxi (usually departs every 30 minutes from HERE), or drive/taxi/Uber.

Golden Beach / Chrisi Akti:
Large, quieter beach popular for windsurfing with sparkling, golden sand. Plenty of space to spread out and several beach clubs to choose from.
  • Beach Clubs: Several casual options with food, drinks, and sunbeds available. We recommend walking down the beach and finding one that fits your style and budget.
  • Getting There: Drive/taxi/Uber

Paralia Krios
Situated close to the center of Parikia, the island's capital. It is a long sandy beach with crystalline waters that are surrounded by a bay and are well protected from summer winds.
  • Beach Club: Crios Beach Bar & Restaurant
  • Getting There: Sea taxi from the port of Parikia, or drive/taxi/Uber.

Santa Maria Beach:
Sprawling and spacious with soft sand, clear water, and a relaxed feel. It’s a good option for both swimming and water activities.
  • Beach Club: Santa Maria Beach Bar
  • Getting There: Drive/taxi/Uber

Faragas Beach
A quiet, more tucked-away beach on the south coast with calm waters and a smaller crowd. It feels a bit more secluded and is a nice spot for a slower beach day.
  • Beach Club: Faragas Beach Bar Restaurant
  • Getting There: Drive/taxi/Uber

Piperi Beach:
The small beach right next to Naoussa town. Not a “destination beach,” but it’s very convenient if you want a quick dip or a place to unwind close to where you're staying.
  • Beach Club: A limited number of loungers are available through the Avant Mar hotel, but prices are high. Most visitors bring a towel and sit directly on the sand.
  • Getting There: Walkable from central Naoussa

For more of a party: Cabana Beach Bar or Punda Coast

Naoussa
A former fishing village turned stylish hub, Naoussa is where most visitors stay and where most of our wedding festivities will take place. It’s lively but still charming, with whitewashed alleyways, boutique shops, and lots of great restaurants and bars clustered around the small port.

Parikia
The capital and main port of the island. Parikia is a bit more spread out than Naoussa but has a beautiful old town, the historic Panagia Ekatontapiliani church, and lots of waterfront cafés. It’s also where most ferries arrive, so you’ll likely pass through at some point.

Lefkes
A peaceful mountain village in the center of the island, Lefkes feels more traditional and slower-paced. Its narrow marble paths, quiet charm, and sweeping views make it a great stop for a coffee or lunch. You can also start the Byzantine Trail from here if you’re up for a hike.

Marpissa
A small hilltop village on the way to Golden Beach. Marpissa is quiet and authentic, with a few pretty squares, churches, and a much more local feel. It’s a nice detour if you're heading to the southeast side of the island.
Exploring the villages across Paros is one of our favorite things to do! We could spend hours wandering the cobblestone streets, popping into shops and beautiful churches, and stopping for a bite to eat. Each village has its own charm, and it's worth carving out time to visit more than one.
